Your Google listing isn't a website

A Google Business Profile is the best free thing a local shop can have. Hours, reviews, a map pin, a phone number. For a lot of owners it's the only web presence they've got — and it works, until it doesn't.

The problem is it isn't yours. Google decides what shows and when. You can't tell your story, sell a membership, take a deposit, or look like anything other than every other listing on the page. You're renting a booth in someone else's mall.

A real site is land you own. It points customers where you want them, works the way you want, and makes you look like the business you actually are. Your listing brings people in; your site closes them.

Keep the listing. Add the site. The good news is, yours might already be done.
